Shanthi Colaço, MD grew up in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains in California’s Bay Area. She graduated with honors in molecular and cell biology and a minor in music from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Colaço went on to earn her medical degree at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco and completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Colaço is a well-respected member of the dermatology community and belongs to several professional organizations including the American Academy of dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the Skin of Color Society. She has trained with some of the most reputable and innovative dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons in the country and authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Colaço stays up-to-date with advancements in dermatology to ensure that she offers men and women of all ages the most effective and sophisticated skin treatments available today. She is committed to helping her patients feel comfortable in their own skin, whether it’s getting acne under control, addressing melasma during pregnancy, or treating the signs of aging. In 2015, Dr. Colaço brought her vision to life when she founded ShanthiMD Dermatology in West Los Angeles.

When not at the office, Dr. Colaço spends time with her husband and three children and their giant fluffy labradoodle Ozzie. She also enjoys singing, playing the piano and guitar, traveling, cooking, and eating.

Amber Rangel, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Associate with a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California. Amber has specialized in dermatological aesthetic procedures since 2016. Amber has spent years perfecting her craft with continuous education in addition to hands-on training with multiple Dermatologists. Her comprehensive knowledge of lasers, injectables, chemical peels, microneedling, and skincare enables her to customize a treatment plan that can help each patient reach their definition of confidence. Amber specializes in natural looking aesthetics and is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best.

Amber is a California native, born and raised in Los Angeles. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and rescue dog. Her hobbies include spin classes, audiobooks, long walks, and enjoying time in nature.

Ohara Aivaz, MD, is a trusted and compassionate board-certified dermatologist serving patients at ShanthiMD Dermatology in West Los Angeles, California. Dr. Aivaz practices both medical and cosmetic dermatology and believes beautiful skin is just an appointment away.

She completed a prestigious combined dermatology and internal medicine residency program at Georgetown University Hospital and Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and is now double-board certified in both dermatology and internal medicine.

Dr. Aivaz is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society, and belongs to various professional societies including the Medical Dermatology Society and the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatologic Society.

She has lectured internationally and nationally, including an invitation to speak at the National Institute of Health. Dr. Aivaz has also authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals such as JAMA Dermatology.

Dr. Aivaz has been voted as a Los Angeles "Top Doctor" for several years in a row. During her free time, she loves to bake, weight lift, do Pilates, and spend time with family and friends.
